Complete Bindery Service
Whether your putting together a ten page presentation or a five hundred page book, our variety of binding and finishing equipment gives us great versatility in the bindery department. We ensure that our binding materials are only of the highest quality available, in order to give your project a professional quality look. Our bindery services include...
Saddle-Stitched Booklets - This method produces booklets that fold in half with the stitches on the fold. This binding is practical for total pages of 60 or less.
Coil Binding - A continuous loop that is similar to comb binding but more permanent. Coil binding can fold back flat, unlike comb binding. Pages can be added or changed later. We have black coils but other colors are available for special order, please call us and ask for more information. This type of binding is not recommended on books over 3/4" thick.
Comb Binding - Also commonly called plastic binding. Comb binding is an economical and fast way to bind. If you need your books to lay flat, this type of binding is ideal. Pages can be added or changed later. We have black binding in stock. The maximum thickness for a plastic bound book is 1 3/4". Please call for more information.
Trimming / Cutting
We have a programmable digital 30" cutter.
Laminating
We can laminate menus, business cards, passes, posters or anything you want to be permanently protected from the elements, as small as ID Cards up to 36" wide posters.
Hole-Punching / Drilling
Punching holes in large quantities of paper at once. Choose single or multiple hole-punching. Drill holes sizes range from 1/8" to 1/2" diameter. Holes can be reinforced with a patch for tags that need a wire or string to attach to your product.
Collating
Collating is the process of arranging pages in sequence after printing, and it is done mostly by machine. We can order and combine
your documents together.
Padding
Padding is a procedure used in bindery to hold books or sets together by an adhesive compound spread across the edge of the sheets. The standard number of sheets per pad is 25, 50, or 100, but a different number of sheets per pad may be selected.
Folding / Hand Folding
Folding for the
perfect crease every time. Choose...
• Half fold — Table tents, greeting cards and mailers, etc.
• Letter fold — Business, personal and event mailings, etc.
• Z fold — Brochures and pamphlets, etc.
• Map fold — Brochures and pamphlets, etc.
Scoring
Scoring is the process of creasing a substrate, thus allowing the material to be folded. For heavier paper stocks, scoring and folding often go hand-in-hand, while paper stocks of a lighter basis weight can often be folded without a score. We create professional scores for fold-over greeting cards, invitations, book covers, etc.
Perforating
Perforating your printing is perfect for making in-house coupons, tear-outs and more.
Numbering
Many carbonless forms, tickets and invoices require sequential numbering. Numbering is an inexpensive and effective way to maintain accurate records and improve organization. We can number a variety of papers and sheet sizes. Choose from black or colored ink, as well as descending or ascending numbers on most printed projects.
Shrink Wrapping
Shrink Wrapping is a protective wrapping for printed projects. Our shrink wrap packaging can be used for printed projects that need to be in bundles for easy handling. Shrink-wrapping also extends the shelf life of printed materials and makes shipping safer and easier.
Die-Cutting
Die-cutting is the process of cutting print into custom shapes like greeting cards, custom folders, or an invitation. Standard dies are available, but custom dies can be made at additional cost.
